Are We Ready To Change?

I wanted to write a bit more on the topics I wrote about in my post called Questions. After I wrote that post I spent a good deal of time trying to figure out where and why we are wandering off track and getting into trouble. Lets face it, if you want to fix a problem, you first have to figure out what is causing it. So I sat and thought and thought some more,  looking for the core issue which I love to do. If I looked at all of the grievances we have with life I began to see one central theme that ran through all of them in one fashion or another. That central theme was money! We have grown up hearing the old adage that’Money is the root of all evil’. If one looks more closely at the subject of money one can see it is not the money creating the problems, it is our relationship with money, our beliefs surrounding it.

I have felt an odd relationship with money my whole life. I can sense ‘life traps’ quickly thank goodness, like cell phones/smart phones, social media etc. They appear innocent enough and often encourage us strongly to partake in them, but I never wanted to. It took me forever to get a computer and many years more to even think about writing a blog! Money was always looked upon by me as a trap. I grew up in a physicians home and wanted for nothing, I was very fortunate to have everything I wanted, but I didn’t have strong family roots. Love and concern were sorely missing. I always saw the drive for more in my family which left me feeling inadequate and often forgotten. It warped my sense of money and made me run in the opposite direction all the while folks around me were struggling to make more. They never stopped and asked themselves at what expense were they being successful.

I cannot even begin to unravel all the negative connections we carry with money and do it justice. I am recommending  reading an amazing book that even though it was written back in 2003 it surely pertains to the chaos and insanity we see unfolding today and in reading the book, it brings us back to earth, back to basics and back to what is truly important in life. My favorite book I always tell people about here is ‘The Four Agreements’ and now this book is right up there with it in the sense of being life altering. I can’t say enough good things about it and it will surely start you on a journey of viewing life through very different eyes. It is called The Soul Of Money by Lynne  Twist. You won’t be disappointed. At least I hope not.

I truly believe now, as I have for a very long time, that our perceptions about money are all wrong and we have allowed it to take over our lives and take over our morals about what is wrong and right. If we were not so dependent upon money, if we didn’t have our sad beliefs in scarcity and we weren’t always looking at what can be rather than what is, what we already have, life would be very different. Yes I still believe we need a new form of self governance and a major house cleaning in Washington D.C. but I also firmly believe we must first dissect our beliefs surrounding money and be willing to change how we live our over saturated lives. As with any change it will not be easy but it is a must if humanity is to progress forward. Please gift yourself this book and open your eyes even further to a better way to live.

Dust Off Your Imaginations…

We are quickly closing in on that perilous ledge where we must decide if we jump off or veer right or left and head into the unknown. The time between what was and what will be is not one of comfort. All the old familiar ways we knew and relied upon are crumbling apart and we are not sure about what to replace them with. This is part of the problem of why we can’t seem to get past where we find ourselves hung up and mired in the mud. We have no concrete plan or road map to get from point A to point B. Many people enjoy a certain amount of adventure in their lives, but they also need a foundation to build upon to feel safe. We all need to feel secure in our lives which is why we tend to hold on desperately to the old regardless of how wrong it is until we can take it no longer.

I think many of us are at that point where we can’t accept any of this illusion any longer. It is somewhat humiliating to accept the fact we have been played for fools for so long now, but that is ego talking! Not reality. We can and must forgive and move forward, but we can only do that if we have a road map planned out to guide us. Yes these are insane times of chaos, but we can use this chaos to our advantage. If we can figure out what should come next and set plans in motion we give the scared and panicked masses a beacon of hope to walk towards. Give them a plan, give them a direction, give them an explanation and they will be far more willing to let go of what was and embrace what will be. A better way of living for we humans. Reassurance is key.

This scary, empty space between old and new paradigms can be positive if we work with it and not hide from it. We can all look at what is going on in the world and see what is wrong, we see the corruption and abuse, but let us look instead at what can be right. How can you move forward to something else if you don’t even know what it is we need to do next? It is time to get creative and share our ideas so we can come together and create that road map. It’s time because heaven knows, we want out of the way things are right now. It is time to stop talking and get busy creating what we want for the new world.  Don’t forget, that means creating ‘ourselves’ anew first, for until we heal the wounds of the old within, the new cannot be born.

Questions…

I know personally, I travel through life at times and don’t even question what I am doing or thinking. I am gliding on autopilot. Sometimes things come up in my life and slap me in the face to wake me up. I stand back and think   “Wow! Why haven’t I questioned these things before, why did I not notice?” One of those questions that came to me a long time ago was  “Who made up the rules we all live by?”  I mean think about that. Who are they to choose how we must live our lives, who we should be and what we should do? Why do we believe so strongly without questioning so much of life? We have been led down this path of life and somewhere along the way we were encouraged to not think about asking  questions. We become less of a problem if we followed along and stayed quiet. Is this how you truly wish to live your life? By someone else’s rules?

I think a good part of unemployment NOT being mentioned is the fact people are realizing working 9-5 everyday does not feel right. There is something off about it and no these people are not lazy! They are on to something. Who made up the rule that we the people should work 9-5 everyday? The same people who crammed our heads with the myth that “we are what we do”. Corporate Elites. Look at all the nice little slaves they have working for them and putting money in their pockets. Have you ever stopped to ask why Creator would put us on earth to live out our lives working 9-5? I think he intended for us to experience life in whatever fashion we desired. Why would he create so much beauty and then not allow us time to enjoy and interact with it?

There are so many questions: Why are we allowing corporations to hijack our Government and essentially our lives? What has subtly been done to our thinking that we don’t even object or fight for what is right? Why do we believe everything we are told? People may think Donald Trump is nuts calling it fake news, but he is absolutely correct. We don’t even know we are being lied to most of the time, although we are waking up, thank God! We have been molded and perfected into the law-abiding citizens we are without question. Why do we allow ourselves to be oppressed and held hostage and our lives dictated for us? What has become of our imaginations? Our hopes and dreams?  If we aren’t doing or being who we are supposed to do or be the way we have been led to believe, then who the heck are we? Really?

Why do we seldom question monumental things like vaccination but rather just believe what we are told regardless of the negative consequences?  Why did we believe for so long that the food we ate was good for us? That the medicines being sold were safe and good for us? A great many of these questions are being answered now, unfortunately a bit too late. So why do we do these things? Because we BELIEVED, it is what we needed, to go on with life , for to question would have created discomfort on many levels and we chose the easy way out. Why wouldn’t we? We didn’t know any better and so we went along with the program. But it is time to wake up and question.  It is time to finally see the illusion we have all been living under. It takes courage to go against the grain but it will be the very thing that saves us. There is truth in the saying “Ask and ye shall receive”. Ask and ye shall receive the truth! Ponder these thoughts today.
