I wanted to share with you something I have found and continue to find, incredibly valuable in helping me get through life more easily. Especially now with the entire world around me on fire and reality being torn to shreds. Very unsettling times and so if I can find a way, even a small way, to make life flow more smoothly for myself, how can I not invest my time into making life better any way I can? Humanity must stop looking at itself as a victim and instead embrace the warrior role into our lives with great courage. We each are responsible for creating our own reality, my question is, what kind of reality will we choose?
I know I have left information for this book here on my blog before, but I guess my bringing it up again is my realization about how important it truly is. The book I speak of is called “Atomic Habits” by James Clear. I’ve read it probably three times now but it is the kind of book I am in and out of many times to both lift me up and remind me of his practical guidelines I should follow. Here is what I found so helpful about this book. Many times books will tell you what you need to do to get the result you are looking for, but this author not only tells everyone what they need to do, but most importantly, HOW to do it! The steps are clear and more than manageable, so there is no excuse why we can’t do this.
The old reality we all knew has been blown up into shards and scattered all around the globe, but our own personal realities need not be destroyed. We always have the ability to create our own realities by our thoughts and actions. If you want to find ways to make life easier and more peaceful instead of fearful and traumatic, this is the perfect time to work on changing your habits thereby changing your lives. Make better habits and life becomes better. By my doing small, new, habits that helped make my life easier, I removed a great amount of stress off my shoulders.
As one example: I have Lyme disease and often times just doing simple day to day things takes a huge amount of energy I need to muster up and often times I just don’t have it. I found that at night I could put together all of the supplements I take daily so I wouldn’t have to do it in the morning and I also cleaned the cat bowls so they were ready for morning and doing this made my starting off a new day far easier. It sets the tone of my day so to speak. It took no time to turn this into an automatic habit I do every night before bed. It seems small, but you have no idea how my mornings start off more peacefully. There are many other habits I have installed into my life like this to make life better. Each habit you decide to make is small and manageable, therefore encouraging everyone to continue and stay with it.
If you feel your life needs a boost, you need a change or your reality needs calm and peace, this book is amazing and explains it all so clearly. No wonder the authors last name is Clear! This book really is a direct way to improve ones life. If this interests you, I wholeheartedly suggest you read it. Again, it’s the perfect time for anyone to make new and positive change in their life. We are all doing our parts in making the new earth. Enjoy!
