Earthing the Fire

August begins with more than half of all planets in fire signs, and ends with more than half in earth signs. Shifts from one element to another in the course of a month are common, but not to this extent.
Fire is the element of individuation; the burning need for you to become the person you were born to be. With fire high in the first half of August, you’re summoned to become as true to yourself as you can, to ignore the reasons why you can’t rise to your fullest capacity, and reach down in to release the creative dream you came here to manifest.
When fire hands the torch over to earth in the second half of August, the emphasis shifts toward the creation of earthy forms and structures to channel those fiery creative energies. Earth asks you to take your dreams seriously enough to find ways to help them happen.
When you mine the deeper layers of your dream and
construct practical channels for its release, life transforms from obligation and drudgery to ongoing enactments of love in motion. The release of your fiery soul force is contagious. It gives our species a chance to outgrow its folly and awaken to its higher wisdom ~ and there is no higher wisdom than love.
From fire to earth this month we reenact the soul’s journey from spirit to flesh, reminding you of who you are and what you’re here for. As so many worldly things collapse and crumble, we have a rare opportunity to write new stories in place of the old: stories of love and change, to replace tales of ignorance, lack and fear. Dare yourself to dream new dreams, real dreams, practical dreams to get our world back on track.
